Grassroots Garlic Cookies Budder Review
By Tyler Mitchell
Garlic Cookies from Grassroots is a highly popular cultivar that was created by crossing the Chemdawg strain with the Girl Scout Cookies (GSC) strain. It’s a heavily indica dominant hybrid strain, and as the name suggests, has an aroma reminiscent of garlic, light sweet dough, and diesel.
I did a dab with a water pipe rig and flat top quartz banger, and I did a low-temperature dab by aiming for about 550-575°F which is about the perfect spot for me. A small scoop of this budder on the end of the tool melted away and gave me 3-4 big hits of vapor.
Upon exhale, I was immediately hit with a garlic flavor followed by a sweet flavor I remember from smoking the flower. Grassroots labels this as a hybrid, but this is definitely indica-leaning. I found this to be very relaxing, with a slight “couch-lock” effect though I was still able to focus on watching a movie.
I’m fairly new using concentrates and I have only really been doing dabs on a regular basis for about a year. I usually just smoke flower in joints and glass to medicate, but I’ve recently started liking my experience using concentrates over smoking flower. Smoking can lower your immune system and the smoke can be damaging to your throat and lungs over time. With the temperatures dropping, I started to feel the harshness on my throat so I’ve decided to use concentrates more often to medicate.
